My name is Elizabeth Estrada and I contacted COSTEP because I was interested in obtaining information on my credit report and ways to improve my credit. My experience with COSTEP, at first I was nervous but as the representative consulted me and walked me through the process, they made it comfortable for me to ask any questions and address any concerns I had in reference to my credit report. What did I learn from COSTEP? Get involved! It’s our responsibility to know what’s on our credit report and be aware at the same time about identity theft and how important it is for us to protect our information on a credit report. COSTEP resolved my issues, COSTEP educated me. My representatives were able to consult and analyze a strategy to help me dispute, well correct and dispute any discrepancies on my credit report. Outcome, it raised my score! Now, I have the power, basically to say what I want and who at the same time I want to help me obtain my purchases. And, if you don’t need, don’t apply. I would love to give a shout out to Mary Man-Silva and Adam Gonzalez. I would recommend COSTEP to others, COSTEP is here to help. Three words: efficient, reliable and most of all honest. You need to be able to trust a company you release your information to and COSTEP has been around here for many years and so involved with the community. COSTEP is here to help the community obtain a better life by helping you get back on track and at the same time set your financial goals in order. I would recommend, definitely, the consultation is free and you have nothing to loose but valuable information that will help you in the future and I’m glad I gave them a call. It helped me out.

Mi nombre es Marta Tovar. Este.. les hable a COSTEP para pedir una información y tocante a lo que ellos me dijeron entonces vine personalmente. Mi experiencia fue buena. Fueron amables conmigo en la explicación y en la orientación sobre todo de mi.. de mi.. en español. Me gustó mucho la explicación que me dieron porque fue en español.. que fue totalmente en español. Y fue lo que me gustó y ya entendí perfectamente la información que ellos me dieron. Aprendí, este, realmente sobre como cuidar mis finanzas y mi crédito.. a… y mantener mi buen crédito. Realmente este, por la orientación que ellos me dieron ahora baso esa información sobre mis finanzas y estoy muy contenta los últimos meses como ha, va evolucionado sobre mis finanzas y mi crédito. En el futuro pensé que teniendo tarjetas de crédito las podía saturar todas. Y ahora aprendí a que no porque tengo tarjetas de crédito tengo que tenerlas saturadas. Tengo que cuidar mi crédito y solamente gastar un porciento de cada tarjeta. Realmente me han ayudado bastante. Ahorita en los últimos meses he visto mucho el cambio y ya estoy lista y preparada para refinanciar mi propia casa. Al señor Adam González mi agradecimiento por la ayuda que me dio. Yo recomendaría a COSTEP ampliamente por toda la ayuda y experiencia que me dieron. Yo le diría a la gente que esta en mi misma situación de problemas, yo ya tenia muchos años con mis problemas de crédito y finanzas y ellos me dieron una excelente orientación y ahorita estoy ya con los frutos de esta buena orientación que ellos me dieron yo los, este, recomendaría ampliamente.

Jonathan Gonzalez

My name is Jonathan Gonzalez. I guess one of the first things would be the fact that I wanted to find out a little bit more about their services and what it is that they could do to help orient me in the right direction, I guess, for financial purposes. Simply, I had a couple of hiccups in the past and that’s something that had been in the back of my mind and I wanted to take care of it and it just gave me the opportunity to go ahead and do so. With COSTEP, my experience was very pleasant. Ever since I came in I was greeted and made to feel very comfortable. You know, the office setting was very professional and the people that I met with were definitely people that made me feel good and comfortable and my surroundings were very well, as well. I think the main thing that I learned that I am applying now is making sure that I keep the percentage of my debt lower. Prior to COSTEP, I was typically always maxing out my credit cards but when I saw the fact that if I can keep them lower how it impacts positively on my credit score that is one of the main things that I am implementing now. One of the main things that COSTEP did to resolve my issues were communicating with the three major credit bureaus. After that, I did hear back from the credit bureaus and I was able to actually see that some of those hiccups that I was mentioning earlier actually did come out of the credit report and I was very thankful for that. I think the first thing I would tell them is if you’re having any doubts it’s probably normal. Before I came here, I was definitely a little bit doubtful about it you know, it’s an investment that you have to make but at the same time you know, it was worth it now that I look back on it. My credit score is higher, I’ve been able to get some new credit lines and am looking forward to the next couple of big purchases maybe a car or something where I’ll be able to shop around for a better interest rate. So, I think that that’s one of the things that I would definitely tell those people is to make that sacrifice, come in and you know, wait to see what’s going to happen. It was good for me so I’m pretty sure it would be good for you. I would like to say, send a shout out to Gabriel Garza who was very instrumental in the presentation that was given here at COSTEP, I’m sure he’s been one of the key people that has been behind all these good things that have been happening.

Buenas tardes, mi nombre es Jonathan Gonzalez. Creo que la razón por la que me comuniqué con COSTEP al principio fue por unas preguntas, unas dudas que tenia con respecto a mi historial de crédito de como podría yo pues encargarme de eso o arreglarlas. Mi experiencia con COSTEP fue muy agradable. El día que vine, este me recibieron pues, yo pienso que como a la mayoría de las personas, de una manera muy profesional. Aparte de eso cuando entramos a la sala de de juntas me dieron una presentación que fue muy.. eeh. Informativa perdón y muy educativo al mismo tiempo. Si fue muy sencilla, claro que si había unos términos que eran términos que me imagino que eran específicos a lo que vienen siendo las finanzas. Sin embargo, en a misma presentación había ayuda visual junto con la explicación que estaba dando la persona que estaba dando la presentación. Pues razones hay muchas pero una de las que se me viene a la mente inmediatamente es el hecho de que puedo ver el resultado del trabajo que ellos han hecho por mi. Los números no mienten. Si comparo un reporte crediticio de antes al después mi puntaje ha incrementado y aparte de eso he visto como varias de las cuentas que tenia negativas han caído y aparte de eso el servicio que me ofrecieron fuero muy profesionales se mantuvieron en contacto conmigo y pues ha sido una experiencia positiva para mi. Me gustaría mandarle saludos a Gabriel Garza que fue una persona instrumental en este proceso para mi fue la persona con la estuve cuando primero vinimos a la presentación al igual que la persona que se mantuvo en contacto conmigo para el proceso de arreglar la situación en la que me encontraba.

Hi, my name is Imelda Flores. The reason I contacted COSTEP was because I was having trouble
with my credit..umm. I needed some credit advisor to help me out with my credit and my credit score. My experience was wonderful! I didn’t step a foot into the office I actually did my consulting over the phone and by email so I never stepped a foot in the office. I would scan and I would email everything to the consultant. And, if I had any questions they helped me very well in understanding the process. I consulted with Adam Gonzalez, he gave me a phone call, I was at work… um took about thirty minutes off my work schedule, I spoke to him, he emailed me forms I had to fill out, sent them back to him and the process started right, right away. Something that I learned with dealing with COSTEP was that uhh, us not to be giving late payments to our credit cards. If we go and purchase a big payment, you know, like a vehicle or a home for them not to run our credit as much. Not going to dealership after dealership because they will run our credit. What I’ve accomplished with my credit, my credit score has gone up, it went some points up. I was able to purchase a new vehicle, I traded in my old vehicle for a new vehicle under my credit. It helped me not getting phone calls from the credit card companies asking for payment. I would advise them for them to take care of their credit, not to open too many accounts and if they do, give payments on time don’t stop paying credit cards and if you’re stuck in a situation that you are not able to give a payment or stop giving payments on credit cards.. you know, reach out to a finance advisor.
